Reason 1: Doberman and/or Great Dane characters that were born in the wild yet have stub tails and/or perked ears. They are one of my greatest pet peeves when it comes to dog characters Not even having a dog mixed with them that has perked ears would give these dogs completely perked ears

Reason 2: RP groups that take place in the wild where multiple generations have passed for the dogs in their setting but the characters are either purebreds or only mixed with two breeds, and worse, only resemble one of those two breeds when it comes to their anatomy. It's my second biggest dog OC pet peeve X'D

Reason 3: A lot of the art and stories that I see of canine RP group characters (with a few exceptions), especially wolf ones, feel to me as if they are a part of a popularity contest rather than a developing story.

Reason 4: Another pet peeve of mine that has to do with dog OCs: characters that are a mix between a dog with perked ears and a dog with floppy ears yet the character has completely perked ears despite the fact floppy ears are a dominant trait that is always a part of first generation mutts that have a floppy-eared parent. Not many people seem to know this fact but still XD

Reason 5: I only really see the same dogs over and over: Huskies, German Shepherds, Dobermans, Akitas, (sometimes Salukis) and any dog breeds that look like them. It gets a little boring and somewhat irritating to see after a while with characters, especially when almost no one cares to make real mutts to spice things up a bit!

Reason 6: I love writing but I don't like feeling pressured that I have to make huge book-length bio sheet descriptions. ^^; I usually develop characters through character interaction and artwork so I always feel uncomfortable about having to have super detailed ideas on their personality on the spot. This kind of goes for most RP groups in general, though.

Even though most feline RP groups are Warrior Cats-related, I would much rather join a feline RP group someday. I tend to see a much bigger variety of character designs and styles when it comes to felines and they don't irritate me quite as much when it comes to decision making...at least in my past experiences.

The majority of these things would drive me crazy!
Yes, I know they are small-ish details, but they're small details that I can't help but notice a lot ^^;
I honestly don't care about the reasonings behind these things: the fact is that they make me uncomfortable and that's that.
I don't really mind about what other people might feel about what bothers me. I already know most people don't see any problems with what I've listed above haha

We've all got little things that just kinda make our eyes twitch, right?

*Elitism among members.

*Characters that are obsessively one way, in a stereotype sense. By that I mean one-sided characters, like a character who is a murderer but that's all there is to them, them killing people and being obsessed with doing nothing but killing people. This is normally a mistake of young/new writers, and I won't fault them for it though.

*Groups where people expect everyone in Group A to act the same, and get trash talked if their character isn't. For example, my dog is forced into joining a pack that is notorious for mistreatment of female dogs, despite him being an outsider who was raised differently, people feel like my character shouldn't be there/trash talk him for having different beliefs. This happens despite the fact that my dog was forced to join their pack, and despite me presenting negative character development as the ways of that pack begin to change how he thinks/feels about females. It's not like "Oh, I joined this pack. MUST IMMEDIATELY HATE ALL FEMALES AND ABUSE THEM NOW DESPITE NEVER FEELING THIS WAS BEFORE." Characters should be influenced by their setting, but not completely molded by it, not everyone one in Pack A should be rapists, and not everyone in Pack B should be goody-two-shoes heroes.

*People not letting others enjoy fantasy rp settings because it's not realistic enough for them, without concern for how it may hurt or upset those who enjoy those roleplays or make those common new writer mistakes. The expectation of humanized animals with cultures, weaponry, verbal speech, diplomacy, extensive societal ways, etc., to comply with certain realism aspects - such as relationships and certain sexual aspects.

*I agree a bit with your art thing. I enjoy seeing writings instead of a ton of art in a roleplay group! I try to stay away from roleplays that list themselves as ARPG's because of this, I want to focus on writing and not art pieces :)

*I'm a bit mixed on the lengthy bio pieces though. It depends on the character for me in all honesty, and lengthy bio's can be hard when your character had a normal life up until the point of joining the rp. How am I suppose to write 500-1000 words on a dog that grew up in a normal, familial pack? XD How much I write truly depends on the setting/character.

*Groups that don't have a lot of information. It's hard for me to get into something with little world building, but that may just be a preference thing for me. I like a world created beforehand, and others may enjoy one that gets built up around them!

I guess my biggest thing is people not being understanding? To me, we all were new to writing at some point and should be helping each other improve instead of looking down on each other.
